This award is for a courageous child up to the age of 18. Do you know of someone who is a shining example to their parents, who has overcome adversity or fought to combat an illness or disability? |

This is for someone under 21 who has
either, achieved great things in sport, represented their
school, is involved in volunteer work, or achieved distinction
in some other field. |

| Nominees would be from individuals or
teams from Community Safety Wardens, Parish Wardens etc,
to an individual member of the public who give up their
time to improve the community for a chosen cause, or who
has tackled crime, disorder or anti social behaviour. |

| Someone over the age of 21 who still strives
and continues to achieve great things at work, in their
profession, in the field of sport, or a hobby or pastime. |

This will be an individual or a team
that goes that extra mile when it comes to customer service
setting a superb example and making you want to return
again. Once shortlisted a visit to experience the customer
service could be done.

| This award is for an individual or group
that have dedicated time to a project which demonstrates
originality, shows purpose within the community and how
it has impacted on their area. |
 |
This award will be presented in recognition
of the unpaid efforts of an “individual” only,
an ‘unsung hero’ in our midst who devotes
their spare time to working within the community on behalf
of others. This could be someone who established a local
sports club; a stalwart in the local fund-raising scene;
a dedicated Brown Owl, or someone who goes out of their
way to help elderly or infirm neighbours. |

| We have many different faiths n Bedford
Borough. This award is for an individual or group who expresses
their faith working positively in the community. For example
a multi faith initiative or a singular faith offering a
service to the community as a whole. |

This award is for an individual or
group whose efforts have significantly enhanced their
community’s environment. They need to demonstrate
that they have brought about real improvements such as
reduced litter, more tree planting, reduction in the
use of energy, or contributed to raising awareness and
action towards a more environmentally sustainable way
of life.

This award is for a team or individual
who is working in the public or private caring sector
which/who has demonstrated duty or devotion beyond the
norm. Or, it could be a private individual or family
doing the same.
