This award is for a courageous child up to the age of 18. Do you know of someone who is a shining example to their parents, who has overcome adversity or fought to combat an illness or disability. |

This is for someone under 21 who has either, achieved great things in sport, represented their school, is involved in volunteer work, or achieved distinction in some other field. |

This award will be presented in recognition of the efforts of an individual or a team who devote their spare time working within the community. This could be improving the community for a chosen cause, or someone who has tackled crime, disorder or anti social behaviour. Or who runs a youth club to keep crime off the streets; a stalwart in the local fund-raising scene, or someone who goes out of their way to help and protect elderly or infirm neighbours. |

| Someone over the age of 21 who still strives and continues to achieve great things at work, in their profession, in the field of sport, or a hobby or pastime. |

This will be an individual or a team that goes that extra mile when it comes to customer service setting a superb example and making you want to return again. Once shortlisted a visit to experience the customer service could be done.

Judges will be looking to recognise an arts, sports, community based or environmental project initiated by local authorities, charities, community groups, schools or others which has established a new service or made a substantial improvement to previously available facilities and services. |

A school that has shown, unity, purpose and/or achievement in any field though not necessarily measured alone by the numbers of exams passed, its Ofsted report or League Table placing. Judges will be looking for evidence of leadership and teamwork displayed by staff, pupils and/or parents. They will also consider these achievements with regard to the school's catchment area, social and ethnic mix. |

This award is for a team or individual who is working in the public or private caring sector which/who has demonstrated duty or devotion beyond the norm. Or, it could be a private individual or family doing the same. |

This award will go to the individual, or group, the judges has considered has made an outstanding contribution to the local voluntary sector, either through fundraising initiatives, voluntary work or other support .

This award will be decided by public vote following the short listing of entries by the judging panel.
